Intuitive Artist and Creative Explorer
Hi, I’m Sophia Wang – an intuitive artist based in Seattle. After living in China, Singapore, and Toronto, I now call Seattle home with my family. I began my intuitive painting journey in 2019 shortly after moving to the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
In contrast to my structured and analytical professional life, painting offers me a space for curiosity, experimentation, and intuition. Through this practice, I’ve learned to be more comfortable with uncertainty and to trust the creative process.
I believe art connects people and brings forward emotions that often remain hidden in the busyness of everyday life.
When I create—whether through painting or music—I begin from a place of calm, curiosity, and joy. The process energizes me, and I hope that sense of openness carries into the work and resonates with those who encounter it.
Creating is also my way of being present and giving meaning to my own journey. I hope my work offers moments of uplift, reflection, or quiet encouragement in the midst of daily life.
Living in the Seattle area, I often find inspiration in the surrounding landscape—mountains, water, shifting light, and small moments in nature. These impressions often appear in my work in subtle and unexpected ways.
