Abundance (2025)
10″ x 10″ mixed media on canvas

This piece was created alongside another painting with a similar palette and composition. In this work, I explored abstraction more freely, choosing colors based purely on what felt exciting in the moment rather than planning specific shapes or imagery. I often rotated the canvas while painting, allowing the composition to evolve in unexpected ways.
Layers of rich colors interact across the surface, creating a sense of harmony, abundance, and quiet joy. In the final stage, a red-golden sun emerged in the upper corner, inspired by the energy already present on the canvas. It brings warmth and vitality to the scene, suggesting a season of growth and harvest.
Acrylic and gouache were used to build the color and texture throughout the painting.
