Lunar Renewal (2024)
36″ x 36″ acrylic painting on canvas

This piece was completed around the time of Lunar New Year, a season of celebration, reunion, and new beginnings. Elements such as the house, the lotus, and circular forms echo symbols often associated with the festival—continuity, harmony, and the gathering of family.
As the painting evolved, a figure emerged on the left, reminiscent of an ancient presence. She seems to merge gently with the lotus beside her, suggesting a quiet connection between tradition, nature, and renewal.
A palette of pink, yellow, green, gold, teal, and cobalt blue brings a sense of warmth and balance to the composition, reflecting the hopeful spirit of the season.
