Transformation (2024)
36″ x 36″ acrylic painting on canvas

This piece unfolded slowly over time. The first image to appear was a golden-pink serpent, emerging through the early layers of color and pattern.
As the painting evolved, a figure surfaced on the left. Because I rarely paint figures, I initially hesitated to keep her. But as the work continued, a second figure appeared on the right—seemingly a younger apprentice—creating a quiet sense of relationship and balance between the two.
The scene feels as if it belongs to another dimension. Fire glows at the center, suggesting a space of alchemy and transformation, while delicate lotus buds along the water’s edge bring a sense of purity and new beginnings.
This painting reflects the process of transformation—an invitation to gently consider what we may be ready to release.
